I am a character on a TV drama, I am meeting a contact for an informal update or exchange of confidential information. En route to the clandestine meeting I bought coffee and bring it to the hook-up in disposable cups with lids. We both pretend to drink the coffee, even though it's patently obvious there's no beverage in either cup to simplify continuity. #tvTrope
